Challenge

After initially seeking accounting system support for Microsoft Great Plains, it was clear that the Arc needed a complete digital transformation. Its homegrown IT infrastructure was no longer keeping up with its needs, leading to security gaps and frequent outages that prevented staff from focusing on providing much-needed community services. And none of its technology was aligned with its overall strategic plan.

SOLUTION

Wipfli Digital performed an initial IT maturity assessment to help create a road map for the Arc’s transformation. With Wipfli, it implemented technology customized to its needs, enhanced its security posture, migrated to the cloud, provided staff with security awareness training, introduced new hardware at its residences and implemented Microsoft Power BI to start leveraging its data in a transformative way. The Arc also engaged Wipfli Digital’s managed technology services and virtual CISO services for strategic guidance and tactical support.

RESULTS

With Wipfli Digital’s digital strategy services and Power BI, the Arc can now understand its service utilization against its budget, which has helped increase utilization for community development services from 46% to 75% and revenue by 45% overall. Improved IT infrastructure has also given the Arc greater agility, allowing the organization to switch to remote work in just one day when the COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns began.
