Kwik Trip had built a strong following, but it wanted to take customer loyalty to the next level. By partnering with Wipfli, it gained a clearer understanding of how to align its digital strategy with shopper needs and changing customer expectations.
Leveraging user research and usability testing, we developed a new app that incorporated a customer loyalty program, weekly deals and special offers. We also focused on promoting in-store products and branded credit cards, both of which return some of the highest margins throughout the company.
In its ﬁrst year, 1.9 million people chose to take Kwik Trip on the go by downloading the app, surpassing the organization’s goal by 150%.
The app got people out of the parking lot and into the store, generating purchases at the register. The number of applications for branded credit and debit cards also increased across markets.
