Together, we developed a platform that centralized volunteer recruitment, training, deployment and coordination efforts. The volunteer management system also connected existing learning and background verification systems, as well as financial and donor management.

The system we developed continues to save Operation Smile thousands of hours. Now, employees and volunteers are able to focus on amplifying their impact instead of manually updating spreadsheets and searching for data across disparate offices. It’s paid off; you can see it in the smiles of more than 17,000 people.

The success of this project initiated a new partnership between Wipfli Digital and Microsoft to bring this innovative volunteer management system to nonprofits across the globe.
