Tech that’s built to protect

x-ray scan of a bag - SharpLogixx

After the Boston Marathon bombing, SharpLogixx realized its portable veterinary X-ray technology could help law enforcement respond to incidents more efficiently than with armored trucks — and save more lives. Wipfli Digital’s custom development team helped SharpLogixx complete the transition and become #1 in the market.

Solution

Functioning as an extension of the SharpLogixx team, Wipfli Digital helped co-develop improvements to the product. The team rearchitected the hardware, redeveloped the user interface, developed image-manipulation features and created iOS and Android apps that allowed technicians to control the equipment from their phones.

Results

In just 18 months, SharpLogixx rose from the middle of the pack to number one in the market. Since then, the company has won several military contracts and been named the program of record X-ray system for the U.S. Army.

In addition, it provides units to law enforcement agencies, government branches and training schools.

“Wipfli behaves with the same entrepreneurial spirit that we do. They jumped in immediately to co-think and co-develop ideas. We realized they were doing more than developing software — they were actively helping us to move our business forward.”
